Hello! Welcome to my first-ever blog post. I am honored that you are here!
If we haven’t met before, my name is Elana (pronounced like Uh-Lay-Nuh). I recently launched my brand and website, Elana Joy Photography. Here’s a little bit about what I do:
Elana Joy Photography exists to create timeless, joy-filled imagery that celebrates people honestly and points back to beauty, connection, and faith.
Here are some quick, get-to-know-me facts:
- I am a proud follower of Jesus!
- On my 18th birthday, I went skydiving (and hated it). It’s safe to say I won’t be jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet anytime soon.
- Throughout the week, you can usually find me at my local Pilates studio, coffee shop, and church.
- My taste in music ranges from Elevation Worship, 80s rock ‘n’ roll, Disney classics, and Broadway musicals to Morgan Wallen and Post Malone. A little bit of a niche, mixed bag, haha!
- Some of my favorite movies are Top Gun: Maverick, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Princess Diaries.
- Moutains > Beach
- I LOVE to read. Being curled up with a soft blanket and a good book is a slice of heaven for me.
I hope you have a little more insight into who I am and what I do! My goal for this blog is to share my photography business and life. I love to write and want to share what I learn with others along the way, photography-related or not. My heart in this space is that you feel encouraged, relaxed, and peaceful. Bonus points if you learn something new! While this blog’s priority goal is to help grow my photography business, you can expect me to write about other things like faith, health, and travel. I hope this space brings you joy.
