I’m so excited to share Cody and Christa’s engagement session with you today! Last week, we drove up to Sequoia National Park to document this sweet season of their lives.
Sequoia National Park has always been one of my favorite places in California. Between the towering trees, the cool mountain air, and the wildlife, especially the chipmunks, there is so much to love about this beautiful place.
Cody and Christa are truly so sweet together. From the moment I met them, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and smiles from both of them. Their laughter, joy, and love for one another were so evident throughout the entire session. They were also so easy to talk with, which made our time together feel relaxed and natural from beginning to end.
If you’ve ever walked through a mountain meadow, then you probably know that the ground is anything but flat. Sweet Christa, in high heels, walked right through it all, and she and Cody were such troopers! We also had plenty of company from the local gnats, who were very persistent in making their presence known, haha. Despite our little insect friends and all the walking, it was such a beautiful day in the Sequoias. There was no traffic, the weather was warm without being brutal like the Central Valley heat we are used to, and the scenery was absolutely stunning.
I’m always so thankful for clients who trust my vision and are willing to follow my lead, even when it means doing a little extra walking to get to the perfect location. The photos we created together were absolutely worth it!
Cody and Christa are getting married this October in Arroyo Grande, California. With an engagement session surrounded by the beauty of the Sequoias and a wedding along the Central Coast, these two truly are getting the best of California’s beautiful scenery! I’m already so excited to meet the people they love and document their beautiful wedding day in October.
